Bayer Leverkusen used a brace from Sidney Sam to see them 2-0 past Greuther Fürth.

Sam came on as a second half substitute for Leverkusen as they were looking for more offense. Five minutes later they broke the deadlock, and it was 1-0 in favor of Leverkusen. Andre Schürrle played the ball in to Sam, and the forward showed patience with his weaker foot before shooting the ball into the back of the net.

Leverkusen doubled their lead in the 61st minute. Daniel Carvajal picked the ball off of Edgar Prib and dribbled into the area before laying the ball off to Sam who easily scored to make it 2-0 securing his brace.

Fürth just can’t score goals. Through their first six Bundesliga contests, they have only scored twice. If Mike Büskens side has any hopes on continuing their Bundesliga lives past this season, they better figure out a way to score.
