In the midst of their best season since the early 1990s, Eintracht Frankfurt moved forward and secured the services of manager Armin Veh for at least another season. Veh’s contract was set to expire this summer, but he is now attached to the club through June 2014.

After earning promotion from the 2.Bundesliga with a second place finish, Veh has led the club all the way to fourth place in the top flight so far in this campaign. The club’s last top five finish in the Bundesliga was during the 1993-94 season. The difference between fourth and eleventh place is only five points, so Die Adler will have a fight on their hands for the remainder of the season.

In other Frankfurt news, the club has signed a three year sponsorship deal with Fiat Group Automobiles Germany AG beginning next season. Frankfurt’s jerseys will have Alfa Romeo on the front of them. The deal will be the most lucrative in the club’s history, making €6 million a season.
