Greuther Fürth are staring relegation directly in the face after a 3-2 loss at home to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Greuther Fürth vs. Eitracht Frankfurt: Final score 2-3, Frankfurt keep pace with Schalke
Eintracht Frankfurt got a much needed win against Greuther Fürth to stay level on points with Schalke for the fourth Champions League place.

Nikola Djurdjic headed in a corner kick just two minutes into the match to give Fürth a lead. They were seeking their first win at home this season and could not have asked for a better start. The lead didn’t even last ten minutes before Takashi Inui equalized to make it 1-1.
Frankfurt thought they were going to take the lead before the half ended, but they were unable to find the goal. It did finally come in the 58th minute. Stefan Aigner’s shot was deflected and beat Max Grün to make it 2-1.
Alexander Meier made it 3-1 ten minutes later with a nice strike from outside of the penalty area. Fürth came right back four minutes later through Sercan Sararer. His shot went in after striking the post to bring the hosts within one.
Die Kleeblätter nearly found an equalizer from Djurdjic just a minute later, but his shot struck the post and went out of play.
Fürth are now 14 points from safety, and it’ll take nothing short of a miracle for them to escape the drop. Frankfurt have moved into 5th place, but they’re tied with 4th place Schalke on points.
