BreakingT

You might have heard the news, but Antonio Brown is turning in his black and yellow jersey for silver and black one.

Over the weekend, the Pittsburgh Steelers agreed to trade the seven-time Pro Bowler in exchange for a third and fifth round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

By making the move, the first major domino of the NFL offseason has fallen, and it’s John Gruden and the Oakland Raiders that cash in on the big prize.

Business is Boomin, just ask Derek Carr.

Not only did Brown get his wish — to end up on a new team — but he got paid, too. The 30 year old restructured his deal with Oakland, receiving a new three-year contract worth up to $54 million, including $30 million guaranteed.

Now, Raider Nation has a new weapon for Carr and Gruden to use as they try to wreak havoc on the rest of the NFL. The Raiders may not be Super Bowl bound next season, but hey, at least this combo will be a lot of fun to watch every Sunday.

So to get the offseason boomin’ for the Silver & Black community, there’s a new T-shirt and hoodie for Raiders fans to pick up as they celebrate the huge move that kicks off the new league year.

Check it out.

As our Adam Stites noted, the Raiders are getting a really, really good player. Brown has had at least 1,250 receiving yards in six straight seasons, something only he and Torry Holt have accomplished. For the Steelers, the Brown trade puts to bed months of drama that culminated with Pittsburgh holding him out of its Week 17 finale last season.

The Raiders still have a lot of issues to fix after a 4-12 season, but the Brown trade starts their offseason off on the right path. With three first round picks in the upcoming NFL Draft too, we could be starting to see Gruden’s big vision come together as the Raiders prepare for the move to Las Vegas next season.

Either way, it’s Boomin times ahead, that we know for sure.
