UCLA Bruins guard Tyler Lamb will miss four to six weeks as he recovers from arthriscopic knee surgery. Lamb is scheduled for the operation on Tuesday, according to Sports Illustrated. The Bruins' season will begin on Nov. 9, so Lamb would have to be on the speedy end of his recovery period to return for the opener. As SI reports, UCLA head coach Ben Howland is confident that Lamb will be back in the four-week time frame.

Lamb played major minutes for a UCLA team that missed the postseason last year, and appeared in all 33 games. He will need to take a bigger role for the Bruins this season, as Lazeric Jones and Jerime Andersen have graduated.
Lamb averaged 9.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists as a sophomore. He stuggled with efficiency, turning the ball over on 24 percent of his possessions and posting just a 49 effective field goal percentage.
