No. 1 Indiana vs. Sam Houston State final score: Hoosiers manhandle Bearkats

The Indiana Hoosiers dominated the Sam Houston State Bearkats, winning by a final score of 99-45.

The top-ranked Indiana Hoosiers toook care of business against the Sam Houston State Bearkats, winning by a final score of 99-45. Indiana took a 52-25 lead into halftime and cruised from there.

It was a massacre across the board for Indiana, as the Hoosiers dominated from start to finish over hapless San Houston State. The Hoosiers shot 57 percent from the field compared to 30 percent for Sam Houston State. The Hoosiers nailed 43 percent of their threes compared to 19 percent for the Bearkats. Indiana shot 44 free throws and hit 30 of them, while San Houston State only shot 12 and made eight. Indiana out-rebounded the Bearkats 41-20 while also out-assisting them 24-5, and and forcing 18 turnovers.

Indiana was led by Christian Watford, who scored 23 points and grabbed six rebounds. Victor Oladipo had 14 points and seven rebounds while Cody Zeller put up similar numbers (13 points, seven rebounds). Will Sheehey added 18 points and five boards and Jordan Hulls had ten points, five rebounds and five assists.
