The Indiana Hoosiers more than lived up to their lofty early season ranking on Tuesday night, blowing out the No. 14 North Carolina Tar Heels, 83-59, at Assembly Hall.

As the score would indicate, little to nothing went well for the Tar Heels, who fell to 5-2 on the season.
The Tar Heels shot just 38 percent from the field, 1-8 from three-point range and only 43 percent from the free-throw stripe. Indiana, meanwhile, had no such trouble -- shooting 40 percent from three and 44 percent from the field, with nearly all of their high-volume scorers finding an efficient balance.
Cody Zeller scored 20 points on 8-13 shooting and added nine boards and four blocks, while guard Victor Oladipo scored 19 points on 8-13 shooting. Off the bench, long-range marksman Will Sheehey also dropped in 19 points on 8-13 shooting, going 3-4 from three.
It's hard to find many positives on North Carolina's side. Dexter Strickland scored 14 points to lead the team and Marcus Paige followed that up with 11 points. Star James Michael McAdoo, on the other hand, shot just 4-15 from the field, scoring 10 points and grabbing nine rebounds. The Tar Heels were down 11 going into the half, but were outscored 37-22 in the second half.
The undefeated Hoosiers likely won't be tested again until Dec. 15 when they face the Butler Bulldogs. North Carolina, meanwhile, will visit the Texas Longhorns Dec. 19.
