Following a sluggish start, the No. 19 Colorado Buffaloes stormed out to an 11-0 run on the Texas Southern Tigers to start the second half, but ultimately the Buffaloes needed two overtimes to topple the Tigers and stay undefeated, 85-80, on Tuesday night.

In the first overtime, Askia Booker drilled a three-pointer from the corner to give Colorado a 71-68 lead with under a minute to play in the extra period, but Texas Southern's Lawrence Johnson-Danner answered with three of his own to tie the contest and force another overtime period.

The Buffaloes scored the first five points of the second overtime to take control of the contest as they went on to earn the win. Spencer Dinwiddie paced the Buffaloes with 23 points for the night, while Texas Southern guard Omar Strong poured in a career-high 39 points, drilling nine three-pointers and shooting 13-of-28 from the field overall in the process.

Andre Roberson (11 points, 12 rebounds) and Josh Scott (19 points, 12 rebounds) both notched double-doubles for Colorado.

Texas Southern led by as many as 13 points in the first half, and took a 39-29 lead into the break. The Buffaloes shot 30.4 percent from the field in the opening half, while the Tigers shot an even 50.0 percent from the floor. Strong came out on fire, scoring 20 points on 6-for-10 shooting from three-point range in the first half.
