No. 2 Duke vs. No. 4 Ohio State final score: Blue Devils score comeback victory, 73-68

Duke continued its impressive start to the 2012-2013 season with a home victory over the Buckeyes.

The No. 2 Duke Blue Devils defeated the No. 4 Ohio St. Buckeyes 73-68 on Wednesday night in a comeback victory at Cameron Indoor. The Blue Devils went into halftime down eight points but roared back in the second half, outscoring Ohio State 47-35 en route to the win. For Duke, it was their third win over a top-five team so far in November.

The Blue Devils were powered by big man Mason Plumlee, who scored 21 points and snatched 17 rebounds. He also helped kickstart Duke's comeback with this startling alley-oop early in the second half.

It was arguably Plumlee's marquee game as a Blue Devil, but he wasn't alone in his stellar play. Rasheed Sulaimon poured in 17 points on 7-12 shooting and Ryan Kelly put up 15 points on 3-5 shooting from downtown. As a team, the Blue Devils shot 47 percent from the field as a team, as well as 5-12 from three and 20-27 from the free throw line.

Ohio State was led by forward Deshaun Thomas, who scored 16 points. The Buckeyes struggled on offense, though, shooting just 33 percent from the field as a team and 6-21 from three. Aaron Craft and Lenzelle Smith Jr. were the other two Buckeyes in double figures, both with 11 points.

Duke will be off until Saturday when they face the Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens, while Ohio State will take on the Northern Kentucky Norse on the same day.
