Texas-Pan American will be coming along with Grand Canyon, Cal-State Bakersfield and Utah Valley, who are all scheduled to join the Western Athletic Conference on July 1, 2013.
UT-Pan American is currently situated in the Great West. That conference will be down to just two members as Houston Baptist is headed to the Southland and Utah Valley is joining Texas-Pan American on its way to the WAC.
There will be a total of eight teams departing the WAC by 2014. Seattle, Idaho and New Mexico State would be the only three current members left, as Louisiana Tech heads to Conference USA, Utah State moves onto the Mountain West, UT-Arlington and Texas State hit up the Sun Belt, Texas-San Antonio moves onto Conference USA and Denver goes to the Summit League.
