The N.C. State Wolf Pack beat the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks 97-59 Friday thanks to a balanced scoring attack led by Richard Howell and Rodney Purvis, who each scored 16 points.

Howell also had seven rebounds and three assists and shot 6-for-7. Lorenzo Brown had 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds. C.J. Leslie had 11 points and six rebounds and Scott Wood and Thomas de Thaey each scored 10.
The Wolfpack took a 41-22 halftime lead and scored 56 second half points thanks to 63 percent shooting and 42 percent 3-point shooting. The defense limited Miami to just 30 percent shooting. The Redhawks shot just 7-for-30 (23 percent) from 3-point range.
Only two Miami players scored in double figures. Allen Roberts had 16 points, although he shot just 2-for-8, and had three rebounds. Geovonie McKnight scored 10 points on 4-for-8 shooting. He was one of just two Miami players to make 50 percent of his shots.
