RIP, Rick Majerus. His humor could overshadow how great a basketball mind he had.

Majerus was a head coach for 25 seasons at Marquette, Ball State, Utah, and Saint Louis, with the majority of his career being spent with the Utes. He also was an assistant coach with the Milwaukee Bucks for a season, and spent some time as an assistant coach for the U.S. Men’s National Team.
The cause of death is unknown at this point, but Majerus had to step away from his job as head coach at Saint Louis this past summer to deal with heart issues, and it was announced several weeks ago that he would not be returning to the bench for the Billikens. Majerus was 64 years old.
