College basketball rankings, AP Top 25: Duke, Michigan remain atop latest poll

The Duke Blue Devils are still No.1 in the Associated Press top 25. Where are the other teams in the rankings, who are the big risers and who is losing the most ground?

USA TODAY Sports

The men's college basketball rankings from the Associated Press showed little movement in the first six teams ranked, with The Duke Blue Devils came in at No. 1 with 63 first place votes. No. 2 in the poll is still the Michigan Wolverines, receiving the other two first place votes. The remainder of the top five remains unchanged with the Arizona Wildcats, Louisville Cardinals and Indiana Hoosiers rounding out the top five.

The Kansas Jayhawks remain at No. 6 before the first change of the rankings appears at No. 7 with the Syracuse Orange rising two spots. The biggest riser in the rankings are the New Mexico Lobos, jumping from just outside the top 25 to No. 20 thanks to a win over the Cincinnati Bearcats.

Those same Bearcats had the biggest drop in the week, falling from No. 8 to No. 14. Also with a big fall this week are the Missouri Tigers, dropping from No. 7 to No. 12.
