The Minnesota Golden Gophers won easily at home on Wednesday, defeating the South Dakota State Jackrabbits, 88-64.


Minnesota had an impressive shooting night, hitting 56.9 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from behind the arc. The Golden Gophers did leave some points at the charity stripe, only shooting 60 percent on their free throws.
Minnesota guard Andre Hollins led all scorers with 22 points, thanks to an electric shooting night. Hollins went 8-9 from the field, including 6-7 from beyond the arc. Joe Coleman also had a strong game, contributing 15 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Austin Hollins chipped in 17 points and four steals, while Trevor Mbakwe added eight points and 10 rebounds off the bench.
Jordan Dykstra led South Dakota State with 17 points and six rebounds, while Chad White and Tony Fiegen each added 10 points apiece.
