No. 3 Michigan vs. Western Michigan final score: Wolverines crush Broncos, 73-41

John Beilein’s squad had no trouble with Western Michigan on Tuesday night.

The No. 3 Michigan Wolverines eased past the Western Michigan Broncos on Tuesday night with a 73-41 victory. Michigan was up by 14 going into the half but pushed the final margin to 32 even as they took their foot off the gas in the second half. The Wolverines were led in scoring by guard Trey Burke who put up 20 points to go along with seven assists and three rebounds.

Despite subpar efforts from Tim Hardaway Jr. and Glenn Robinson III -- who shot a combined 6-20 from the field -- Michigan had little trouble putting the ball in the hoop. The team shot an even 50 percent from the floor and 38 percent from downtown and also forced Western Michigan into 16 turnovers.

For the Broncos, things didn’t go as smoothly on the offensive end. They made just 13 baskets from the field on 45 shots, including 2-17 from three-point range. Their saving grace was the free-throw line, where they shot 13-21.

The Wolverines will be back on the floor Saturday afternoon when they host the Arkansas Razorbacks.
