The No. 9 Kansas Jayhawks made easy work of the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday afternoon at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kan., winning in a 90-54 rout. The game was not close at any point, as the Jayhawks jumped out to a 10-1 lead and never looked back.

Kansas was unstoppable in the early going of their game against Colorado on Saturday, and cruised to a 36-point victory over one of the Pac-12’s better teams.


Ben McLemore paced Kansas with 24 points, while Kevin Young pitched in 16 points on 8-of-9 shooting and also pulled down eight rebounds. In all, four Jayhawks players finished in double-figures in scoring.
The hot-handed Jayhawks shot 53 percent from the field and made 14-of-17 free throws. They held a 21-point halftime lead, which ballooned to as high as 42 points midway through the second half.
Josh Scott was a bright spot in an otherwise awful day for Colorado. He scored 19 points on 9-of-15 shooting. Askia Booker added 15.
Kansas (7-1) has a week off before hosting the Belmont Bruins on Dec. 15. Colorado (7-2) will have to regroup quickly before traveling to California to take on the Fresno State Bulldogs on Wednesday.
