The No. 8 Arizona Wildcats finished on a 19-7 run to defeat the Clemson Tigers, 66-54, on Saturday night in South Carolina.

Arizona used a late burst to get by Clemson on the road.


Mark Lyons led an otherwise cold-shooting Wildcats team to the victory, scoring 20 points on 7-13 shooting while adding four assists and four rebounds. The rest of his Arizona teammates shot 30.6% on the night, including a 2-16 performance from Solomon Hill.
With the game tied at 47-47 with 7:57 remaining, Lyons scored six points and dished two assists over the next five minutes to lead Arizona on a 12-2 run and secure the win. Nick Johnson was the only other Arizona player in double figures, scoring 13 points.
Milton Jennings led Clemson with 15 points in the loss, including a three-pointer that started a 14-4 run to help the Tigers climb out of an early 22-8 hole.
Arizona (7-0) will host the also-undefeated No. 6 Florida Gators on Dec. 15. Clemson (5-3) next plays on Dec. 15 against the Florida A&M Rattlers.
