Freshman Shabazz Muhammad's status for the UCLA Bruins' rivalry game against the USC Trojans on Wednesday is day-to-day after he came down with an illness on Monday night. The Orange County Register reports that Muhammad missed a practice on Tuesday and his status for the game is up in the air.
Shabazz Muhammad day-to-day with stomach illness
UCLA Bruins freshman Shabazz Muhammad missed practice on Tuesday and is day-to-day with a stomach sickness.

Muhammad is UCLA's leading scorer at 18.2 points per game, but he's not the only player who may be unavailable for the game on Wednesday. Forward Travis Wear has yet to pass concussion tests after he suffered a blow to the head in UCLA's 84-73 victory against the then-No. 6 Arizona Wildcats last Thursday.
The good news for the Bruins is they might not need to be at full strength.
Ryan Kartje of the OC Register also reports that USC could also be missing a player. Forward Dewayne Dedmon is suffering from a severe case of the flu and also missed Tuesday's practice.
The Trojans are coming off a 74-50 loss to Arizona while UCLA is likewise coming off an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Arizona State. After Wednesday, neither team will play another game until Feb. 7.
