    Kelly Lambert-USA TODAY Sports

Kentucky responded, though, battling back with a 14-2 run of their own to close out the game.

UNC guard P.J. Hairston suffers concussion

    Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

With the Tar Heels taking on Boston College, Hairston collided with another player and immediately went to the floor. He was attended to by the UNC training staff and coach Roy Williams. Hairston eventually made his way to the bench, but appeared to be losing consciousness.

He was then taken off the court on a stretcher. North Carolina has announced that Hairston will not return to Tuesday’s game. He will likely miss one more game, although the training staff will have to reevaluate him in the coming days. Hairston was able to return to the UNC bench early in the second half.

VIDEO: Marshall Henderson throws ice at UK fans

Henderson grabbed the media’s attention last April when he signed with the Rebels. He said he was looking forward to facing Kentucky because he wanted to show them who the “real national champ is”. Henderson was referring to himself and South Plains College winning the JUCO national title in 2012.

Last weekend, Henderson began waving his jersey at a group of angry Auburn fans following a big road victory for Ole Miss. The Auburn fans responded with profanities and enough middle fingers to think you were back in high school.

For a team that has shot the ball well for most of the year, Wisconsin hit just 36.5 percent of their shot attempts in Columbus.

Tuesday night college hoops viewer’s guide

    Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

Here’s how you’re spending your Tuesday night.

No two teams in the unpredictable Big Ten have been more unpredictable than Ohio State and Wisconsin. In terms of the conference race, the stakes are pretty high for a game in late January. The winner moves into a tie for third place and stays just a game back of Indiana and Michigan, while the loser puts itself in a position where it’s probably going to have to get extremely hot in February if it wants to have a shot at wearing the crown.
