No. 15 Wichita State vs. Indiana State final score: Sycamores pull road upset, 68-55

In what could prove to be a big win come March, Indiana State played stifling defense all night long to pick up a key victory over the No. 15 Shockers.

The Indiana St. Sycamores lacked a signature victory on their resume entering Tuesday. On the road against No. 15 Wichita State, the Sycamores turned in one of their best performances of the year, picking up a 68-55 win.

Indiana State led just about the entire way. They built up an 11-point lead by halftime and held tough down the stretch in a hostile environment. The Sycamores used a balanced scoring attack to their advantage, having seven players score at least six points. Manny Arop had a team-high 17 points and six rebounds. Devonte Brown and Jake Odum both had 10 points.

Wichita State just could not get anything to fall offensively. They shot just 27 percent from the field, hitting just 16 of their 59 shot attempts. Of their 28 three-point attempts, only nine went down. Cleanthony Early led the way with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Demetric Williams added 14 points.

With the win, Indiana State is now 7-3 against the Missouri Valley Conference. Wichita State drops to 8-2 with the loss.
