Florida vs. Wisconsin final score: Badgers survive at home, 59-53

The Badgers pulled off the upset of the Gators in a physical game that went down to the wire.

Sophomore forward Sam Dekker scored 16 points and the Wisconsin Badgers held off the Florida Gators at home to win, 59-53, on Tuesday night.

The Badgers led by as many as 11 in the second half, but went through a cold spell to let Florida creep back into the game. They committed nine turnovers in the second half, but Traevon Jackson hit a big jumper with a few seconds left to preserve the win.

Sophomore Florida guard Michael Frazier led all scorers with 20 points, but Kasey Hill fouled out with over three minutes remaining to deprive the Gators of a true point guard. Senior forward Casey Prather added 12 points for the Gators.

The Gators' thin bench got a scare with a couple of heavy falls in the game. Prather went down with an apparent knee injury late in the second half. He collided knees with a Wisconsin player and went to the locker room briefly, but returned a few minutes later. Not long after that, senior forward Will Yeguete went down hard on his left arm and headed to the bench for a short time.
