Duke vs. Kansas final score: Jayhawks grind out victory over Blue Devils, 94-83

The second game of the Champions Classic lived up to its billing and then some.

The No. 5 Duke Blue Devils and No. 4 Kansas Jayhawks traded blows for the better part of 40 minutes, but the Jayhawks were able to pull away in the final minutes to earn the win, 94-83, on Tuesday.

The second game of the Champions Classic was much closer than the final score suggests. Neither team was able to pull away much as both Kansas and Duke played tight and controlled games. The Jayhawks finally got a spurt in the final minutes, emphasized on a fast-break dunk by Andrew Wiggins where he was fouled by Jabari Parker for the three point play. Parker fouled out on the play.

The billing between the two star freshmen lived up to the hype. Parker exploded for 19 points in the first half in front of his hometown, but he had to earn his points in the second half as the Kansas defense adjusted. Parker finished the game with 27 points and nine rebounds. He still had plenty of highlight reel plays, including this impressive one-handed alley-oop.

Wiggins also stepped up in the big showdown, but was limited in minutes by foul trouble. He had six points in the first half, but only played nine minutes after picking up his second foul. Coach Bill Self put him back on the bench in the second half after he picked up his fourth. He brought him back out during an instrumental 15-4 run to close out the game, and Wiggins finished the game with 22 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and a block. He also ran the floor and pulled off this nice alley-oop as well.

With the win, the Kansas Jayhawks are now 7-3 against Duke all-time.
