Syracuse vs. Binghamton final score: Cuse rolls to ninth straight win

C.J. Fair led four Orange players in double-figures with 19 points as Syracuse stayed unbeaten.

Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

Coming off four straight wins against tough competition, the No. 4 Syracuse Orange had no problem on Saturday against Binghamton, cruising to a 93-65 victory at the Carrier Dome.

C.J. Fair led the Orange with 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting while DaJuan Coleman dominated the middle with a double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds). Overall, Syracuse out-rebounded the Bearcats, 44-32.

Binghamton opened up an 11-3 lead in the first four minutes before the Orange finally woke up. An 18-0 outburst that took less than three minutes put Syracuse up for good and left the game in little doubt. Trevor Cooney had eight points in that spurt and finished with 17.

Syracuse then extended the lead to 54-30 by halftime and never let Binghamton climb to within 20 again.

Jordan Reed led all scorers with 26 points for Binghamton, doing the majority of his damage from the foul line, where he shot 13-of-14. The Bearcats managed just five points from their bench, all from Alex Ogundadegbe. Binghamton also turned the ball over 17 times.

Syracuse is now 9-0 on the season, boasting a Maui Invitational championship as well as a home victory over Indiana. The Orange travel to old Big East rival St. John’s next after an eight-day layoff.
