No. 3 Miami vs. Clemson final score: Hurricanes get past Tigers, 45-43

Miami kept its perfect record in ACC play alive thanks to a huge three-pointer from Kenny Kadji.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Kenny Kadji's three-pointer with 34.7 seconds remaining lifted the No. 3 Miami Hurricanes to a 45-43 victory over the Clemson Tigers on Sunday evening at Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, S.C.

Before Kadji's bucket, no Miami player had made it into double-digits in scoring as the Hurricanes made just 2-of-18 attempts from beyond the three-point arc. However, Kadji came off a screen and buried a wide-open look to give Miami its first lead in nearly nine minutes.

Clemson was on the verge of its first win over a top-five team since beating Duke in 2009, but K.J. McDaniels missed two key free throws that could have sealed the win for the Tigers down the stretch.

Despite holding Clemson to a 1-for-17 start from the floor, Miami held a lead of just 8-2 before Adonis Filer hit a three-pointer with 9:25 remaining in the first half. Both teams struggled mightily from the floor throughout the game, with Miami making only 34.6 percent of its shots while Clemson shot just 30.4 percent.

Kadji led Miami (21-3, 12-0 ACC) with 12 points, while Jordan Roper scored 19 for Clemson (13-12, 5-8 ACC) in the loss.
