No. 17 Marquette vs. Seton Hall final score: Golden Eagles soar past Pirates, 67-46

Marquette dominated the second half to improve to 10-3 in the Big East this season. A loss would’ve really hurt their chances at winning the conference crown.

Coming off a big win over Pittsburgh, the Marquette Golden Eagles came out flat against the Seton Hall Pirates on Tuesday night. The No. 15 Eagles would have none of the upset bug going around college basketball, though, getting hot early in the second half to cruise to a 67-46 win at the Prudential Center.

With the win, Marquette sits at 10-3 in Big East play. They continue to be a threat for the conference title.

Tied 27-27 at halftime, the Golden Eagles began the second half with an impressive 27-7 run. Junior guard Vander Blue led the charge with a team-high 19 points. Davante Gardner really gave coach Buzz Williams a lift off the bench, scoring 18 points and bringing down five rebounds.

As a team, Marquette shot 49 percent from the field and out-rebounded SHU by 14.

Fuquan Edwin stuffed the stat sheet for Seton Hall, recording 14 points, three assists, four rebounds and four steals. He was a one-man show, though, especially in the second half as the Pirates really struggled on the offensive end. Aaron Cosby was the team's second-leading scorer with 11 points.

Up next for Marquette is a tough road test against Villanova on Saturday night. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. ET.
