No. 24 VCU vs. Saint Louis final score: Billikens upset Rams, 76-62

Saint Louis made a statement on Tuesday night against Virginia Commonwealth. They are now in the driver’s seat for the Atlantic 10 title.

The Saint Louis Billikins continued their impressive run through the Atlantic 10 conference on Tuesday night, knocking off No. 24 Virginia Commonwealth, 76-62, at the Chaifetz Arena.

VCU entered the game as the higher-ranked team, but it was Saint Louis that dominated from the opening tip. They held a 17-point lead at halftime and cruised through the second half with a strong showing on both ends of the floor.

The Billikins had one of their best shooting nights of the season, hitting 55 percent of their shots. They went 7-for-13 from behind the arc and made 17 of their 23 free throw attempts.

Jordair Jett led SLU with 16 points off the bench. Mike McCall Jr. had 15 points, while Dwayne Evans chipped in with 14 points and eight rebounds.

Juvonnte Reddic recorded a double-double for Virginia Commonwealth, leading the team with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Treveon Graham also had a strong showing with 11 points and 10 boards.
