No. 6 Duke vs. Virginia Tech final score: Blue Devils rip Hokies, 88-56

Duke shot better than 70 percent from three-point range in a blowout victory over Virginia Tech on Thursday.

Seth Curry scored 22 points, including 19 in the first half, as the No. 6 Duke Blue Devils routed the Virginia Tech Hokies, 88-56, on Thursday night at Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg, Va.

Four Blue Devils players finished in double figures in scoring, including Curry and Mason Plumlee, who scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Duke shot 53.6 percent from the field, including 70.6 percent from beyond the three-point arc. Curry hit 5 of 6 shots from long range, and Rasheed Sulaimon made 3 of 4 three-point attempts.

Erick Green scored 22 points to pace the Hokies (11-15, 2-11 ACC), who have lost nine straight games and 13 out of their last 15. That result was inevitable from the early-going on Thursday, as the Hokies were unable to stop the Blue Devils on offense and fell down by 20 points at halftime.

Duke (23-3, 10-3 ACC) will return home to face Boston College on Sunday, while Virginia Tech attempts to snap its skid against Florida State.
