No. 25 Louisiana Tech vs. Utah State final score: Bulldogs rout Aggies, 84-61

Louisiana Tech pounced on a injury-riddled Utah State team on Thursday, jumping out to a 47-18 first-half lead en route to a blowout victory.

The No. 25 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs kept their perfect conference record intact by dismantling the Utah State Aggies, 84-61, on Thursday night at Thomas Assembly Center in Ruston, La.

The Bulldogs jumped out to an early 17-4 advantage, and extended their lead to as many as 29 points in the first half before heading into the locker room with a 26-point cushion. Louisiana Tech kept its foot on the gas in the second half, taking a 30-point lead after Kenyon McNeail's three-pointer at the 12:04 mark.

Brandon Gibson scored 20 points off the bench to lead Louisiana Tech (25-3, 15-0 WAC), who shot 54 percent from the floor and 58 percent from three-point range. Raheem Appleby added 15 points to pace the Bulldogs' starting five.

Jarred Shaw scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Utah State (19-8, 9-6 WAC), who has been decimated by injuries and lost another player, Spencer Butterfield, to a hip injury late in the second half on Thursday.
