The rivalry between Michigan and Ohio State may be the best in the country, regardless of sport. On Tuesday night, the No. 3 Wolverines and No. 10 Buckeyes delivered yet another game for the ages at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Who says the Michigan/Ohio State rivalry only applies to football? The two top-10 basketball teams delivered a game for the ages on Tuesday night.

In the end, it was Michigan that came away with the 76-74 overtime win.
The two teams went back and forth for 45 minutes. Michigan started out hot from the field and took an early lead, but the Buckeyes answered midway through the half before taking a one-point halftime advantage. It was more of the same in the second half.
With just less than a minute remaining, Mitch McGary dunked a beautiful drop-off pass from Trey Burke to give Michigan a 72-70 lead. The Buckeyes came down and missed their first two shot attempts, but a long jumper from Lenzelle Smith Jr. tied the game at 72-72 with 30 seconds left. Burke missed a three-pointer at the buzzer, sending the game to overtime.
In the extra session, the Wolverines led 75-74 with 7.6 seconds left on the clock. Glenn Robinson III made one of two free throws, giving the Buckeyes one final chance. Craft went the length of the court and had his layup blocked. It appeared there was a foul, but no whistle was blown as the buzzer sounded.
Michigan is now 8-2 in Big Ten play. Ohio State drops to 7-3 with the loss.
Tim Hardaway led the Wolverines with a game-high 23 points. McGary set a career-high with 14 points off the bench, while All-American candidate Trey Burke chipped in with 16 points and eight assists.
Deshaun Thomas had 17 points for the Buckeyes. LaQuinton Ross added 16 from the bench. Aaron Craft had just 11 points, although his defensive impact was felt throughout the game.
