No. 16 Creighton vs. Indiana State final score: Sycamores destroy Bluejays, 76-57

The No. 16 team in the country got manhandled and scored 22 points under their season average.

The trip to Terre Haute proved to be a rough one for the No. 16 Creighton Bluejays, who lost to the Indiana St. Sycamores, 76-57. Creighton had big problems taking care of the basketball, coughing the rock up 13 times compared to just four turnovers for the Sycamores. The Bluejays also had a rough night from beyond the arc, shooting just 27.8 percent from downtown, while Indiana St. hit 41.2 percent of their shots from that range.

Creighton finished the night with just one player in double figures, as Will Artino came off the bench to score 13 points on a perfect 5-of-5 shooting. Doug McDermott was held to just a third of his season average, ending the night with eight points and shooting just 3-of-10 from the field.

Indiana State finished the game with three players in double figures, led by Jake Odum with 22 points. Manny Arop and R.J. Mahurin finished with 13 and 17 points.

The Bluejays will try to get back to winning this Saturday against Illinois State, while Indiana State faces Southern Illinois.
