No. 7 Arizona vs. Stanford final score: Wildcats hold on to beat Cardinal, 73-66

The Wildcats came back late in the second half to end the Cardinal’s three-game winning streak and hold first place in the Pac-12.

The No. 7 Arizona Wildcats had a rough night shooting from beyond the arc, finishing the night hitting just 30 percent of their shots from downtown but escaped an upset bid from the Stanford Cardinal, winning 73-66 at the McKale Center. The Wildcats also struggled from the charity stripe until late, hitting 68 percent of their shots compared to Stanford's 83.3 percent rate from the free throw line.

Mark Lyons helped bring the Wildcats back in it during the second frame and he finished the night with a game-high 25 points while shooting 9-of-13 from the field. Solomon Hill finished the first half with just three points but ended the night well into double figures with 23 points.

Four players managed to get into double digits for the Cardinal with Dwight Powell knocking down 24 points, including an astounding 10-of -11 night from the free throw line. Aaron Bright and Josh Huestis contributed 16 and 10 points, respectively. Chasson Randle ended the night with 11 points as well.

Arizona will face the Cal Golden Bears on Sunday while the Cardinal head to Tempe to face the Arizona St. Sun Devils on Saturday.
