Yeguete likely won’t be back before the end of the regular season after having what Donovan described as “bone chips” removed. His status for the SEC and NCAA tournaments is obviously still up in the air.
The 6’7, 240-pound native of France missed the Gators’ final nine games last season after suffering a broken foot. Prior to the injury, he averaged more than four points and six rebounds in 21.9 minutes per game.
Yeguete has played the same amount of minutes this season, but has improved his scoring output to 6.0 points per game while rebounding at an identical rate for the No. 2 Gators (18-3, 8-1 SEC).
