No. 17 Cincinnati vs. No. 23 Pittsburgh final score: Panthers come from behind for 62-52 win

Tray Woodall spurred a late run to lift the Pittsburgh Panthers over the Cincinnati Bearcats, 62-52. That win avenged an earlier loss to Cincinnati back in December.

The No. 23 Pittsburgh Panthers used an 8-0 run late to reclaim the lead and outlast the No. 17 Cincinnati Bearcats 62-52 Saturday night in Cincinnati.

With Cincinnati up by six with 9:21 left to play, Pitt scored a quick eight straight, fueled by a Tray Woodall three. Woodall added another one from deep at the 3:23 mark to keep the momentum with the Panthers. The senior ended up connecting on all four of the Panthers' made three-point attempts.

Sean Kilpatrick was the unquestioned go-to man for Cincinnati. He led the Bearcats with 16 points and was the only Cincinnati player in double figures in what was a poor shooting night overall for the nation's 17th-best team. The Bearcats shot just 30.8 percent overall and were 4-25 from three. Cashmere Wright in particular had a rough game, going 1-11 from beyond the arc and scoring just five points.

Pittsburgh didn't shoot the lights out either, but was rather just good enough to win. The Panthers shot 45.5 percent, while Steven Adams (13 points) and Talib Zanna (11 points) joined Woodall in double figures.

The Bearcats and Panthers have now split the season series, with Cincinnati winning in Pittsburgh on Dec. 31.
