No. 6 Gonzaga vs. Loyola Marymount final score: Bulldogs cruise to sixth straight, 74-55

Kevin Pangos and Kelly Olynyk each scored 20 points as the Gonzaga Bulldogs had no problem taking care of Loyola Marymount, 74-55, Saturday night.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs continued their West Coast Conference dominance on Saturday, blowing by Loyola Marymount 74-55 for their tenth straight conference win to start league play.

Kevin Pangos hit four threes and scored 20 points to join Kelly Olynyk for the team high. Elias Harris (16 points) also cracked double figures. Ten of Harris' points came at the foul line, and he also grabbed a game-high ten rebounds.

This was the sixth win in a row for the Bulldogs, who have not lost since that classic buzzer beater against Butler a few weeks back. The Bulldogs led this game for all but about a minute of play, and they were never really threatened.

Anthony Ireland provided more than half of the offense for the Lions, who dropped to 8-16 (1-10 WCC) with the loss. Ireland had 30 points on 12-14 shooting from the line. Overall, Loyola Marymount made 81.8 percent of their free throws, but struggled mightily from the field. The Lions shot just 29.8 percent overall and 18.8 percent from three.

Gonzaga, the nation’s second-best shooting team, shot 51.1 percent, including a 14-19 combined performance from Pangos and Olynyk.

The Bulldogs will next visit rival St. Mary’s on Feb. 14 for an 11 p.m. ET tilt.
