Big 12 basketball standings 2013: Kansas, Kansas State finish tied atop conference
Kansas and Kansas State both missed out on an opportunity to capture the outright Big 12 regular-season title on Saturday, resulting in a co-championship for the Sunflower State rivals.

Kansas State squandered an opportunity to move into sole possession of first place early on Saturday by losing to No. 13 Oklahoma State. Luckily for the Wildcats, the best possible outcome -- finishing in a tie for first place in the conference -- came to fruition when Kansas was routed by Baylor later in the day.
For Kansas State, the co-title marks its first conference championship since 1977. Meanwhile, Kansas received the consolation prize of the No. 1 seed in the Big 12 Tournament by virtue of beating the Wildcats twice during the regular season.
