The No. 2 Indiana Hoosiers defeated the No. 7 Michigan Wolverines, 72-71, on Sunday at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Mich., to win the outright Big Ten Conference championship.

Indiana scored the last six points of the game, including Cody Zeller's layup with 14 seconds left, to turn a five-point deficit into a one-point lead. The Hoosiers were able to take advantage of Michigan's poor free throw shooting down the stretch; the Wolverines made just 1-of-4 attempts inside the final minute, allowing Indiana to stay within striking distance.

Michigan had a shot to win the game on its last possession, but Trey Burke's wild layup attempt missed, and Jordan Morgan's follow-up attempt after corralling the offensive rebound hung on the rim for a lengthy period of time before falling outside of the cylinder.

Zeller scored 25 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for the Hoosiers (26-5, 14-4 Big Ten), while Burke finished with 20 points to pace the Wolverines (25-6, 12-6 Big Ten).
