Big East Tournament 2013 schedule and bracket: Big East tourney dreams begin Tuesday

Rutgers, DePaul, South Florida and Seton Hall have one shot to make the NCAA tournament, unfortunately that one chance means running the table on the Big East tournament.

The bottom of the Big East barrel starts their marathon run at a last ditch effort for an NCAA tournament berth as the Big East tournament gets underway on Tuesday.

With most bracketologists sending a large number of Big East teams to the tournament, it will be a tough climb for Seton Hall, South Florida, Rutgers and DePaul to make it, but in this bizarro year of college basketball anything seems possible.

The Seton Hall Pirates take on the South Florida Bulls in the first game of the two games of the evening. Both teams sit at 3-15 in Big East conference play, but the Pirates beat the Bulls in their only meeting this year, 55-47 on Jan. 23. Since then, Seton Hall struggled, dropping 12 of their final 13 games. The Bulls are in a slightly different direction, winning two of their past three games heading into the Big East tournament.

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights take on the bottom seeded DePaul Blue Demons in the second game of the Big East tournament on Tuesday. Rutgers started out Big East play going 3-2, but finished the year losing 11 of their 13 games. The Blue Demons aren't in much better shape, riding a six-game losing streak with their last win coming on Feb. 16 against Rutgers.

No. 11 Rutgers vs. No. 14 DePaul, 9 p.m. ET, ESPNU
