2013 Mountain West Tournament schedule and bracket: Boise State-San Diego State headlines quarterfinals

The MWC Tournament features several intriguing matchups on Wednesday, including a pair of projected tourney teams in SDSU and Boise State.

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

A pair of likely NCAA Tournament teams, the San Diego State Aztecs and Boise State Broncos, square off in the quarterfinal round of the 2013 Mountain West Conference Tournament Wednesday in Las Vegas.

The Aztecs and Broncos are two of the five MWC teams projected to receive invitations to the Big Dance, according to SB Nation bracket expert Chris Dobbertean, along with the New Mexico Lobos, UNLV Runnin' Rebels and Colorado State Rams, all of whom are in action on Wednesday.

Boise State knocked off San Diego State on Saturday, and could use another quality victory to boost its resume in case the selection committee’s opinion differs from that of Dobbertean. The Broncos have head-scratching losses to Utah and Nevada on their record, but wins over SDSU, Creighton, UNLV and Colorado State, plus an impressive showing in a loss to Michigan State, should outweigh that.

Top-seeded New Mexico will face the Wyoming Cowboys after their victory over Nevada in the play-in round, while UNLV takes on the Air Force Falcons and Colorado State draws the Fresno State Bulldogs

Here is the full schedule:

Wednesday, March 13 on CBS Sports Network

No. 3 UNLV Rebels vs. No. 6 Air Force Falcons, 3 p.m. ET

No. 2 Colorado State Rams vs. No. 7 Fresno State Bulldogs, 5:30 p.m. ET
