California vs. Utah final score: Utes upset Golden Bears, 79-69
Utah’s unlikely run in the Pac-12 Tournament as a No. 10 seed will continue into the semifinals.
After Allen Crabbe made one of two free throws with 16 seconds remaining to give Cal a three-point lead, DuBois hoisted up a prayer from beyond the arc that found the bottom of the net, tying the game at 59 apiece.
Utah dominated the overtime period, outscoring the Golden Bears, 20-10, to win its second consecutive game over a higher-seeded team. Jordan Loveridge added 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists for the 10th-seeded Utes, who will face the winner of the nightcap between the Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies in the semifinals on Friday.
Justin Cobbs led Cal with 26 points, while Crabbe, the conference's player of the year, finished with 21.
