The Pac-12 tournament delivered plenty of drama in its quarterfinal round, the highest dose of which came from No. 10 Utah’s win over No. 2 Cal on the heels of a deep buzzer-beater to send the game into overtime. But first:

The Utes are two games away from the NCAA tournament. So there’s that.
No. 1 UCLA Bruins 80, No. 9 Arizona State Sun Devils 75
The Sun Devils had reason to be upset-minded, after beating UCLA once and pushing them to overtime in another game. And they had the strong start to give them hope: Jordan Bachynski killed UCLA in the post early and Jonathan Gilling hit five threes. Arizona State led by eight at the half, and pushed the lead to 15 early in the second. But Shabazz Muhammad had 12 second-half points as UCLA came back to take the lead with just over a minute to go, winning 80-75. The star was Larry Drew, who had 20 on only 10 points, drilling all four of his three-point attempts, and dishing out a team-high four assists.
No. 4 Arizona Wildcats 79, No. 5 Colorado Buffaloes 69
There were a lot of fouls, a lot of offensive rebounds, and a few pretty mediocre offensive performances, but Arizona came away with the double-digit win to advance to the semifinals. Nick Johnson led the way with 18 points on just seven shots, going 6-for-7 from the field and connecting on both threes he took. The Buffaloes will get a little bit antsy on Selection Sunday, but they’re probably safe despite the loss.
No. 10 Utah Utes 79, No. 2 California Golden Bears 69 (overtime)
Your crazy finish of the day and your upset of the day in the Pac-12 tournament came from the same source: Utah. Jarred DuBois hit a NBA-length three-pointer as time expired for the Utes to tie the game at 59 and send it to overtime, and from there the Utes went off. They scored 20 points in the five-minute overtime session, scoring their first appearance in the Pac-12 semifinals in two years in the league. DuBois finished with 21 points for Utah, and Justin Cobbs had 26 points for the Golden Bears.
No. 3 Oregon Ducks 80, No. 6 Washington Huskies 77 (overtime)
C.J. Wilcox hit a jumper with 50 seconds left in regulation to give the Huskies a 64-62 lead, but Oregon's Johnathan Loyd hit a pair of free throws with 16 seconds left to tie the game and send it to overtime. In the overtime period, the Ducks pulled away. Washington scored the first point of the extra session on a free throw, but the Ducks answered with seven unanswered points to take a lead they would not relinquish.
Tony Woods led four Ducks in double figures with 19 points and eight rebounds. Because the first game of the evening session also went to overtime, the game did not end until 2:11 a.m. ET.
Washington finished its season 18-15, likely headed for the NIT.
