There’s just one game left at the MGM Grand as one of the more topsy-turvy conference tourneys wraps up Saturday night with UCLA and Oregon facing off for the Pac-12 title.
Pac-12 Tournament 2013 schedule and bracket: Oregon, UCLA square off for title after crazy tourney
UCLA lost Jordan Adams to injury Friday night, but they’ll battle on in the title game against Oregon in the conclusion of what has been a wild Pac-12 Tournament.

UCLA needed a defensive stop Friday night against Arizona after a major rally gave them a slim lead, as they held off the Wildcats 66-64. Unfortunately, they lost the game's leading scorer Jordan Adams on a freak injury in the game's waning seconds. Oregon was fine Friday night against Utah, but had a tough game against Washington Thursday as Arsalan Kazemi had 11 points in overtime to will the Ducks to victory. All told, seven of the Pac-12 tourney's first ten games have been decided by fewer than five points or in overtime.
Now, we have just one match-up left. Obviously, both of these teams will be in the NCAA Tournament, but a win would be a feather in the cap for both squads.
It's tough to decide a favorite here. Ken Pomeroy's numbers predict a one-point UCLA win, with the lone regular season match-up between these two a 76-67 win for the Ducks at home behind an eight-of-nine shooting performance by Tony Woods. With Adams out with a broken foot, UCLA will have to bank heavily on its backcourt of Larry Drew and Shabazz Muhammed while hoping the Wear brothers Travis and David can do a better job against Woods and limit Kazemi on the boards.
Here’s the info on Saturday night’s game:
No. 1 UCLA (25-8, 13-5, Kenpom ranking 41) vs. No. 3 Oregon (25-8, 12-6, Kenpom ranking 47)
