No. 7 Illinois vs. No. 10 Colorado: Game time, TV schedule for 2013 NCAA basketball tournament

The East Region’s No. 7 vs. No. 10 match-up will take place on Friday afternoon, between the Big Ten’s Illinois Fighting Illini and the Pac-12’s Colorado Buffaloes. Each team last played in their conference tournament quarterfinals a week ago.

One of the most intriguing match-ups in the Round of 64 will come in the East Region on Friday afternoon, where the No. 7 seeded Illinois Fighting Illini will take on the No. 10 seeded Colorado Buffaloes. Game-time is set for 4:40 p.m. EST and can be seen on TNT.

For Illinois to get a victory, they'll need a better performance from senior Brandon Paul than they've received of late. In the Fighting Illini's Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal loss to Indiana, Paul finished with 16 points, but shot just 2 for 13 from the floor. Fellow guard D.J. Richardson averaged 12.4 points per game this season for the Illini, which finished 22-12 overall and 8-10 in the Big Ten.

Meanwhile, when Colorado (21-11, 10-8 in the Pac-12) takes the floor on Friday, they should get a big boost from a healthy Andre Roberson. The junior forward missed two games at the end of the regular season but returned in time for Pac-12 Tournament play, where he recorded a double-double (15 points and seven rebounds) in a quarterfinal loss to Arizona. On the year, Roberson finished second nationally in rebounding, averaging 11.3 per game.

The winner of this match-up will next play the victor in a No. 2 vs. No. 15 showdown in the East Region, between Miami (Fla.) and Pacific.

Game time, TV: 4:40 p.m. ET, TNT
Location: Frank Erwin Events Center, Austin, Texas
