NCAA Tournament 2013: Game time, TV schedule for Kansas State vs. La Salle

Kansas State will try to avoid being tripped up in their opening game of the tournament against the Explorers.

The Kansas St. Wildcats earned the No. 4 seed in the West region after making it to the Big 12 tournament final. They will play the La Salle Explorers on Friday.

Kansas St. has one of the most favorable draws in the region, taking a short bus ride out to Kansas City. They are led by senior guard Rodney McGruder (15.7 points, 5.4 rebounds per game), who has been on fire recently, scoring 20 or more points in three of his last five games. He is assisted by sophomore guard Angel Rodriguez (11.7 points, 5.3 assists per game). If the Wildcats aren't caught looking ahead to a potential third-round matchup with Wisconsin, they shouldn't have much trouble here.

La Salle earned a trip to this game by beating Boise St., 80-71, Wednesday evening in a First Four contest. The Explorers can put points on the board with four regulars averaging in double figures, led by guards Ramon Galloway (17.1 points per game) and Tyreek Duren (14.6 points per game). Against Boise State, it was Tyrone Garland who stepped up, pouring in 22 points to pace La Salle. The Explorers are legitimate underdogs here, but don't forget they went 11-5 in the Atlantic 10, a very tough conference.

Game time, TV: Friday, March 22, 3:10 P.M. ET, truTV

Location: Sprint Center, Kansas City
