NCAA printable bracket 2013: A look at the madness with 1 day down

A No. 1 seed got a scare, Marquette pulled off a wild comeback and Butler proved the doubters wrong once again in the first full day of the NCAA Tournament. The second round continues on Friday, but for now, here’s where we stand.

Like always, the first full day of the NCAA Tournament was an eventful one. Michigan State got things started off by thumping Valparaiso, but after that, things got really interesting. Gonzaga nearly became the first No. 1 seed to lose to a 16 seed, Marquette avoided an upset by staging a dramatic comeback and the Butler Bulldogs once again proved their doubters wrong.

There were a few upsets: Two No. 12 seeds from the Pac-12 won, with Oregon beating Oklahoma State and Cal topping New Mexico. No. 14 Harvard became the worst seed to win, knocking off No. 3 New Mexico.

With the dust settled -- for now at least -- here’s a look at an updated NCAA Tournament bracket, ready for you to print, predict and enjoy as the most exciting weekend in sports continues.

Friday, the other half of second round games will play out, beginning with a meeting between No. 2 Duke and No. 15 Albany at 12:15 p.m. ET. Duke was a two seed last year as well and was upset by 15th-seeded Lehigh in the second round. Other notable games include an 8-9 matchup between North Carolina and Villanova, and a late game between UCLA and an upset-minded Minnesota Golden Gophers team.
