The second round of the CIT tournament kicked off on Saturday, featuring six games from some of the top mid-major schools left out from the other tournaments.

The CIT tournament second round started on Saturday, with six games featuring non-BCS schools.

The Evansville Aces won the first game of the second round, defeating the Eastern Kentucky Colonels 86-72. The two teams were tied at 43 during the half, but the Aces stepped up their defense in the second half to earn the victory.
The East Carolina Pirates won their second-round game, winning 75-54 against the Rider Broncs. Maurice Kemp and Ty Armstrong both played well for the Pirates, as the each scored 20 points.
The Canisius Golden Griffins won a thriller, winning in overtime 84-82 against the Youngstown State Penguins. The Penguins trailed by 17 at halftime, but rallied back in the second half to ultimately fall short in overtime.
The Bradley Braves won a back-and-forth affair, defeatint the Tulane Green Wave 77-72. Will Egolf had a double-double for the Braves, leading the team with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
The Northern Iowa Panthers used a big second half to pull away from the UIC Flames, winning their second-round game 63-51. The Flames struggled to hold onto the ball, committing 21 turnovers.
The Weber State Wildcats won the tournament nightcap, defeating the Air Force Falcons 78-57. Kyle Tresnak and Scott Bamforth both had big performances, as each player finished with 21 points.
