2013 March Madness: Game time, TV schedule for Miami vs. Illinois
Illinois and Miami will be facing off in the round of 32 on Sunday. Here’s where you can catch the action.
Illinois advanced to the next round after knocking off the Colorado Buffaloes, 57-49. It was an ugly, turnover-filled game and the Illini only made 30.8 percent of their field goals, but it was just enough to take out a Buffaloes team that went ice cold for long stretches.
The Hurricanes didn't have as much trouble taking care of their opponent, blowing out the Pacific Tigers, 78-49. Star guard Shane Larkin didn't have his best game, making only 2 of 8 field goals, but his teammates picked up the slack. Durand Scott scored 21 points and Reggie Johnson grabbed 10 rebounds as the Hurricanes outmatched the Tigers at every turn.
The big question for Illinois is what kind of performance they get from guard Brandon Paul. He had 17 points against Colorado, although he was highly inefficient on the offensive end. When Paul is going right, the Illini can beat just about anyone. Look for Miami’s coaching staff to really key in on Paul; if they can slow him down, the Hurricanes should advance with relative ease.
