The No. 8 Wichita State Shockers became the latest team to send the Gonzaga Bulldogs home early in March on Saturday night, and they were unsurprisingly excited. The Shockers hit 14 three-pointers against Gonzaga's zone defense, allowing them to topple the top-ranked and No. 1 seed Bulldogs. Afterwards in the locker room, it was all celebration, (via the Wichita State athletic department):

The Shockers were dancing after their upset of No. 1 Gonzaga on Saturday night.
The win sent Wichita State to its first Sweet Sixteen since 2006. This is the 10th NCAA Tournament appearance overall for WSU. The Shockers move on to face the winner of Ole Miss and La Salle. The Shockers allowed Gonzaga to score 1.09 points per possession, but hot shooting allowed them to reach 1.19 PPP themselves.
Gonzaga was participating in its 15th-straight Big Dance since former head coach Dan Monson started the run back in 1999. That year, the Zags reached the Elite Eight as a No. 10 seed. Monson left for Minnesota after that run, leaving Mark Few in charge of the program. The Bulldogs have built the program up since then, but still haven’t matched that original tournament success.
