2013 NCAA bracket, Florida vs. Minnesota: Gators bury Gophers, 78-64

Florida held off a second-half rally to dispatch Minnesota. They move on to the Sweet 16 for the third year in a row.

The No. 3 Florida Gators defeated the No. 11 Minnesota Golden Gophers, 78-64, to move on to the Sweet 16.

Florida started the game red hot, shooting 65.2 percent from the floor and making 7 of 14 three-pointers in the first half to bury Minnesota early. The Gators went into halftime up 48-27, scoring the most first-half points in NCAA Tournament history.

Minnesota mounted a comeback in the second half, pulling within eight points with seven minutes to go, but in the end the early deficit was too much to overcome.

Mike Rosario led the way for Florida with 25 points. Erik Murphy wasn't far behind with 15 points. Andre Hollins put in a valiant effort for Minnesota, racking up 25 points and grabbing five rebounds.

Florida reaches the Sweet 16 for the third year in a row and the seventh time under coach Billy Donovan. They will face either San Diego St. or Florida Gulf Coast next weekend. Here’s the updated bracket for the South Region:
