The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles' improbable NCAA Tournament run continues as they became the first No. 15 seed to reach the Sweet 16 after beating the No. 7 San Diego State Aztecs on Sunday. Elsewhere across the bracket it was business as usual for the most part, with each higher seed beating the lower, with the exception of No. 13 La Salle upending the No. 12 Ole Miss Rebels on a last second layup by Tyrone Garland.

It has been a wild ride through the first three rounds of the NCAA Tournament as brackets have burst on the heels of Florida Gulf Coast and La Salle’s jolly romp through the field.

The Kansas Jayhawks got back to their winning ways, beating old coach Roy Williams and his North Carolina Tar Heels after coming back from a nine-point deficit at the half. Both the No. 2 Miami Hurricanes and No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes had close calls, with Miami edging No. 7 Illinois late 63-59 and Ohio State holding off No. 10 Iowa State's upset attempt.
It is going to be a long time off for NCAA fans across the nation as the tournament takes a three-day break for teams to travel. The Sweet 16 kicks back off on Thursday with Indiana taking on Syracuse, Miami drawing Marquette, Ohio State going after Arizona and Wichita State holding ground with La Salle.
