WCC Tournament 2013 bracket: Top overall seed in play for Gonzaga

Gonzaga is in prime position to clinch a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, and perhaps the top seed overall, by winning the WCC tourney. Meanwhile, St. Mary’s, which won the WCC title last year, has NCAA tourney aspirations of its own.

The 2013 West Coast Conference Tournament bracket was set upon the completion of the slate of games on Saturday. The Gonzaga Bulldogs clinched the top seed earlier in the week with their victory over the BYU Cougars. As a result, the Bulldogs won't see the court until the semifinal round on Saturday, March 9, at which point only four teams will remain.

Gonzaga has a good shot at a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, and could take the top overall seed if it wins its conference tournament.

The St. Mary’s Gaels finished in second place in the WCC during the regular season, meaning they’ll wait until the semifinal round, as well. Heading into the weekend, the Gaels were projected as one of the last four teams into the NCAA Tournament, according to SB Nation bracket expert Chris Dobbertean, so they’ll need to at least get into the WCC final to feel comfortable on Selection Sunday.

BYU, along with the Santa Clara Broncos, has a double-bye and won't play until the quarterfinal round on Friday. The Cougars, Broncos and everyone else outside of the top two in the conference will need to win the WCC Tournament to get into the Big Dance.

The full schedule is included below. All games will be played at Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nev. All times are ET.
